Camtree Digital Library News

We are delighted to announce that we are now hosting a major collection of teacher research from the Teacher Inquiry in Computing Education (TICE) programme, organised by the Raspberry Pi Computing Education Centre and supported by Computing At School (CAS). Since 2015, TICE has been supporting teachers to undertake action research into computing education, and have published the outcomes in a series of booklets. All of these outcomes are now collated in the TICE Community in the Camtree Library. There are insights into teaching programming, integrating computing education across the curriculum, computational and algorithmic thinking, and the role of AI in education. We are very pleased to be able to offer access to this significant body of teacher research through publication in the library.

Another interesting new collection in the library is based on work carried out by final-year students from Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Campus. Students from BNU spent time in the UK in September 2025, and, with support from Camtree, they carried out small-scale inquiries while working as visiting teaching assistants in a Cambridgeshire secondary school. Their reports on their experiences and innovations in practice are now published, following peer review, in a Camtree library collection. They provide insights into classroom practice but also show how focused inquiries can lead to the development of practice-knowledge, even when time is limited.

We are adding content to the library all the time, with new collections coming online regularly. With items being issued with DOI numbers and indexed by CORE, WorldCAT, OpenAIRE and Google Scholar, we have contributions from over 50 countries and readers from over 130 countries.
  • “D200: SEDA: A Model for Inquiry”: A comprehensive course to help educators become familiar with practical tools to foster learning through dialogue, using the T-SEDA (Toolkit for Systematic Educational Dialogue Analysis) to conduct a reflective inquiry into their own practice. This course is available ‘standalone’ or as part of a package that also includes “D300: Facilitating colleagues to develop dialogic teaching”, for educators who have familiarity with educational dialogue and would like to support their colleagues in developing their dialogic practices.
  • “E100: Ethics in Close-to-Practice Research”: a short, free course for educators exploring what conducting ethical research means in their own contexts, as well as offering practical guidance for those planning and carrying out their own projects.

Camtree-Twinkl Inclusive Adaptive Teaching Programme 2026-2027

Camtree is partnering with Twinkl on a national Inclusive Adaptive Teaching Inquiry Programme for education settings. This is a structured inquiry programme across the academic year, designed to help teachers explore what works in their contextualised practice, build confidence and strengthen adaptive teaching across your setting. The programme is free, and open to educators in any setting. Teacher reports of their explorations and innovation in the area of inclusive adaptive teaching will be eligible for publication in the Camtree Digital Library, complementing and extending those that are now emerging from our work this year with Twinkl on Oracy. Professional Development Courses

Camtree’s growing suite of innovative, research-informed courses supporting practitioner inquiry includes two recent additions:
Both courses offer authentic examples, case studies, and multimedia resources guiding reflective inquiry and supporting professional growth; they empower educators to develop practice across all educational levels and types of contexts. The courses are flexible and can be self-paced or live moderated through in-person or online workshops. They lead to quality-assured and peer-reviewed inquiry reports, which are free to publish and read in the Camtree Digital Library.

Recent Events

Camtree had a stall at the inaugural conference of BERA's Teacher Network, where the conversations and atmosphere were full of innovation and professional insights gained through contextualised teacher research. If you shared your work at the conference and would like to make a version of this more permanently available to the wider teacher-research community, do consider submitting your work for publication through Camtree.
