Camtree Newsletter 1: April 2026
There have been lots of developments recently at Camtree, but our mission remains to promote, support and publish close-to-practice research by educators around the world. Here are some highlights:
Our Website and Courses
Our new website is up and running and here you can access our catalogue of online courses, including:

“D200: SEDA: A Model for Inquiry”: A comprehensive course to help educators become familiar with practical tools to foster learning through dialogue, using the T-SEDA (Toolkit for Systematic Educational Dialogue Analysis) to conduct a reflective inquiry into their own practice. This course is available ‘standalone’ or as part of a package that also includes “D300: Facilitating colleagues to develop dialogic teaching”, for educators who have familiarity with educational dialogue and would like to support their colleagues in developing their dialogic practices.

“E100: Ethics in Close-to-Practice Research”: a short, free course for educators exploring what conducting ethical research means in their own contexts, as well as offering practical guidance for those planning and carrying out their own projects.
Camtree Partners
One of our major projects at present is with Twinkl, with whom we have developed an Oracy toolkit which is being used as the basis to support education improvement through a programme of lesson study with participating schools across the UK and beyond. The programme is likely to run again next academic year (2026-2027) so please get in touch if you would be interested in taking part.
Library Latest
The core of our digital platform, the Camtree Digital Library, has been growing fast. As well as publishing research reports from individual teachers around the world, Camtree is now hosting significant collections of teacher research. These include:

The nasen (National Association for Special Educational Needs) Whole School SEND Inclusive Practice Hub, which contains research reports and research summaries from schools involved in the UK Department for Education funded ‘Whole School SEND’ initiative. This collection can also be accessed directly from the Whole School SEND website via a custom web search developed by Camtree for Whole School SEND.

Exploratory Action Research from the British Council: research reports from teachers of English around the world, as well as studies of innovation and inquiry from British Council partner schools.

Our partners at the Sixth Form Colleges Association and the Huish Centre, have their own collection within the Camtree Digital Library, which featured in a recent webinar “Putting students and teachers at the heart of professional development” hosted by the Chartered College for Teaching and Learning. You can watch a recording of the webinar here.
We are adding content to the library all the time, with new collections coming online regularly. With items being issued with DOI numbers and indexed by CORE, WorldCAT, OpenAIRE and Google Scholar, we have contributions from over 50 countries and readers from over 120 countries.
